Sir,
When i boot in the Win PE bootable media,is it neccessary that the target partition needs to be of the same size as of the source partition because - when i assign the partitions in the source for target and select restore,it says that the hard disk size is small for restoration, even though my source partition is smaller than that of the target partition.

Re: Selecting partitions
Dear Krushna,
which version of O&O DiskImage are you using exactly?
To clone or restore to a smaller target you have to use the file based method. You will have the option to choose between these two methods
if you select a partition/volume and not the disk for cloning/restoring and map it to free space or exististing partitions/volumes on the target.
Best regards

I'm using latest version, and if the target is bigger which imaging method should i use?
Other suggestion - Provide formatting options for disk in Win pe rescue media.

Re: Selecting partitions
Dear Krushna,
in this case you can use "sector based" method.
I have forwarded your suggestion to our development department.
