Hallo,
how can I restore image from 300GB HD (5 partitions - Microsoft,UEFI,Recovery - full only from 20% - approx. 60 GB) to smaller SSD disk - 115 GB ? I tried it (click only Disk 0 on left side and Disk 0 on right side too) and I got message "Target HD is smaller than source HD". Is some way how can I squeeze this image to 115 GB hard drive ? Some automatic or manual resizing partition through the restoration ?
Thank you for your answer,
LD

Re: restore disk image to smaller HD
Hallo LadaD,
Please select as target not the entire hard disk but only the region or volume where the data should be restored.

Re: restore disk image to smaller HD
Hallo Alex,
I set restoration window, how is described in 01_start.jpg file, then I chose File based writing method (02_set...jpg). Then Target size (whole empty space on disk), but result wasn't disk with 6 partitions, but only with one large partition - image 05_end.jpg.
BTW I mention that only the last selected partition (Restore) was recovered on target disk - progress bar showed on the end only processed 10GB (image 04_through).
Logs and pictures are in attached file.
Thank you for another hint,
LD

Re: restore disk image to smaller HD
Hi LadaDa,
There are unfortunately no automatism. You must duplicate the volumes/partitions that you want to duplicate, in individual steps. First select a volume and select the empty area of the destination disk as target. Select the desired volume size and perform the duplication. Next select the next volume and select the remaining empty area as the target and so on.
